This project was originally designed for a world-building class focused on Concept Design for Games and Animation. However, I reimagined it to suit book illustrations instead. It's a Sci-Fi twist on the classic Headless Horseman tale, set in a post-World War 3 San Francisco. My goal was to tailor the story for a younger audience. Ichabod, a former programming dropout, finds himself tutoring in the newly revitalized San Francisco of New California. Baltus, a mechanic and pod racer enthusiast, hires Ichabod to teach his daughter, Katrina, coding skills. As Ichabod secretly develops feelings for Katrina, she is enamored with Bram, a regular at their shop. Meanwhile, the ominous Badlands nearby are haunted by a headless, monstrous droid that snatches people in an attempt to replace their heads.
